These 25 words are slowly introduced throughout the school year and reinforced at home via homework. Mastering the high frequency words on list 1 is the first goal. In addition, they provided additional sight word lists (List 2, 3 & 4) for any child who is beginning to read at higher levels. She must automatically recognize these words upon sight.
